(Non-existant) God bless that man for red pilling the majority of that room about the reality of depending on the State to defend individuals. And (non-existant) god help that poor SOY BOY leftist recording the cell phone video and bitching like a little cunt that the guy has a switch blade.
Someone please tell that spineless cunt that maybe it is against the law to have it there, that's the point you snivling little weasle, the law did not stop the knife from getting in. Likewise, laws do not stop people committing evil acts.

Not gonna argue that point with you at all full-auto. But the guy could have been more tactful about it, like, he could have written 'knife' on a toilet roll and whipped that out of his pocket instead of an actual knife.
That being said. The long haired git and salt miner Mgee and the rooms reaction was a good LoL

You don't understand. It would not have had the same effect. You have to show people the real deal if you're going to get the message to penetrate through all the bullshit they've been programmed with. Had he pulled out a toilet roll with knife written on it they would have laughed him out of the room. In instead pulled out a real fucking knife. You cannot laugh away a real fucking knife. All you can do, if you still want to deny reality, is do what the soy boy holding the camera did and start minging loudly that what he was doing was breaking the law.

Well with the toilet roll thing, I would have brought a knife as well. Just in case of the 'laugh out of the room' scenario looked like occurring.
Laugh at my toilet roll will you? I CUT YOU MUTTAFCUKA!

Point well made. However, he could have done it less confrontationally to a student. Maybe just whipped it out in the audience and stood up or something.

I don't think he was being confrontational. He was roll playing and the camera just picked up mid way though. The man was obvously there because he cares about the safety and well being of the neighbors. He's the type of man we need in charge of addressing these issues, not the piece of shit nark with the camera FAR AWAY recording it and bitching about him breaking the law when he was making a valid point.

Exactly. I don't think the guy was very please that the majority of the room clapped in agreement, that's why he loudly shouted about the knife being illegal. Yea, that's the ticket, when the bad guy shows up to kill you just yell him that what he's doing is breaking the god damn law. That will stop him for sure.

This mutherfucker is pulling out a knife to make a point to a 100 pound teacher that you right wingers don't want to get paid more than just a tad bit above minimum wage.
The guy was a jackass and you can go fuck yourself because you don't know goddamn horseshit about what teachers deal with in the real world. You're simply looking to expound an idealology.

What would be his solution then?
Coming in sayin "look at me I am a potential threat, what are you gonna do?" does not help.
Nobody in their right mind would use a knife for random mass murder attacks anyway.
In other (i.e. developed) parts of the world school -where guns are not as readily available, although, as I stated in another comment, still way too easy to come by (without training)- shootings are (virtually) unheard of.

What's kind of funny is that the answer to "what are you going to do?" is "get the fuck out of there" because you can outrun a knife but you can't outrun a bullet.

Actually I was kind of surprised that no one answered his question. Guy was mixing hypothetical with real-world in a way he hoped would make a point. I think it was a risky thing to do considering someone else in the audience may have mixed real-world with hypothetical and offered the man an unexpected response.

Yeah, there are scenarios that turn out well and scenarios that turn out horribly. Expecting a 115 pound, 22-year-old teacher to strap a gun on their hip while being surrounded by kids for 6 hours every day, five days a week in hopes that she will properly use it to stop a crazy guy who comes in with his gun drawn and ready is extremely ludicrous.

I know someone that freaks out about locking the deadbolt after dark so people won't break into the house and rape/steal/kill as though a deadbolt would deter someone determined to get inside. Same person has been terrified of tornadoes all of her life even though she's never lived anywhere near a place that tends to spawn tornadoes. Despite the horrific nature of these crimes individuals are overreacting if they respond by genuinely fearing a mass shooting at their school. The same psychology was at work after 9/11 - suddenly everyone feared being killed in a terrorist attack, and many still do today, even though the chances are almost zero ("fight them over there so we don't have to fight them over he..." GTFOH)
I think it makes sense in places where the population has a robust gun-carrying/owning culture to have properly trained security on the grounds of schools assessed to be high risk although I don't know how such an assessment would be made. I don't see any news sites, not even on YouTube, tackling the issue from a data analysis perspective. Can high risk zones for massacre gun violence be somewhat predicted and a strategy of protection built around that assessment? I can already hear people saying "If it was that simple it would have been done already" but I've seen enough to know that such assumptions are often the reason why a problem continues to persist. Because the core issue for non-political massacres appears to be mental health, how crazy would it be to run predictive algorithms based on anonymized mental health data as one input for identifying the most at-risk locales? Everyone wants a simple explanation and a simple solution for a highly complex problem that requires an equally complex solution.
Giving guns to teachers to carry with them on the odd chance that someone will specifically target their school is ludicrous. It's about as ludicrous as always wearing a life-jacket in case you find yourself caught out in the water somewhere, miles from land. If that happens to you, the life-jacket will certain help although you could still die many other ways, perhaps even more slowly or horribly than you would have otherwise (dehydration, starvation, being eaten alive). The guns for teachers in schools thing would only work if it was based around highly qualified gun owners BECOMING teachers. You create a couple of these hybrid positions for schools identified as high risk and perhaps that could work, although nothing short of a series of real-world incidents occuring in places where such systems have been implemented would tell us if "Teacher/Shooter" makes any kind of sense or difference.
