Inhaled air contains about 21% oxygen. Exhaled air has about 16% oxygen. So there is less oxygen in exhaled air obviously but still some to help another breathing animal especially when the oxygen is forced into their lungs.

 

Inhaled air is about 0.04% CO2 while exhaled air is 4% CO2 as the body uses respiration to rid itself of it.
