Middle Class Life in China

Shenzhen China - Sunday Drive, Lunch, Hike and Beach Playtime

This isn't something you would normally see but it's what's normal for a lot of people there.

China has the largest (400m) & fastest growing middle class population in the world. Just 20 years ago they barely existed.

Video taken in Shenzhen, known as China's Silicon Valley, home to Tencent, Huawei, DJI etc. It's said to be the greenest city in the world. I spent a week there last year & liked it, the lifestyle there is nice, safe & has a tropical climate & international flavour but not as much as Hong Kong. Shenzhen was started as basically a fishing village of 50k people 40 years ago, then Deng Xiaoping turned it into an experimental free trade zone after the opening up. Now it's home to 13 million people.

This is the city often used as an example of China's dystopian future ... because they have even more CCTV cameras than London LOL.
