Haka Documentary: We Belong Here - Beats By Dre | Rugby

Haka are performed at all formal occasions in NZ (greetings, funerals, weddings etc) as well as for sports & tourism. It started as a battle cry but has evolved, especially in the past 30 years since the country began making efforts to preserve Maori culture.

Most commonly haka are used before sports, particularly rugby

All Blacks usually perform "Ka Mate", lyrics are:

I may die! I may die!

I may live! I may live! This is the hairy man Who summons the sun and makes it shine A step upward, another step upward! A step upward, another... the Sun shines!

Our Aussie cousins are used to it & sometimes take a stand which is fine & fun for the crowd

Team USA turned this one into a colonial war re-enactment haha
