Canadian fantasy and science fiction writer Dave Duncan passed on October 29, 2018. I found this video of him doing a reading on October 19, 2007, at Bolen Books (Victoria, BC). Science fiction and Fantasy author Dave Duncan read from Fantasy novel Children of Chaos. The audience seemed quite gripped as Dave read through his selected passage. One small baby was quite enthusiastic about the reading but didn’t seem to realize that you should wait until the reading is over before you cheer. Once again Dave showed himself to be a top-quality reader as well as writer. I wish the sound quality was better. I'll have to send a better digital camera back in time to myself. Spider Robinson read from Variable Star at the same event. This was a novel started by Robert Heinlein, and completed by Spider at the request of Heinlein’s estate. Dave won an Aurora Award for Children of Chaos, which was presented at VCon in Vancouver in 2007.
