The Cobalt issue is interesting, I don't beleive their is a way to solve without first solving the human treatment issue for the Congo.

right. all these idiots that claim if we stop buying cobalt all those people will be able to just go down the road and get a much better job somewhere else. the people in these places aren't suffering from oppression by occupying europeans they're taking what jobs they can get to survive and the conditions and pay are put on them by their own people. the local leaders are getting rich off the backs of their own people and the people aren't organizing or trying to do anything about it.
remember when zimbabwe started starving? not one single person thought "hey we better start learning and teaching others how to farm better." all over africa forests keep getting cut down and nobody is trying to plant them back. if you want to make something better find like minded people and make it happen.
