well duh. the money supply is finite despite what the "wealth isn't a zero sum game" liars want people to believe, so when money gets concentrated in the hands of a few, consumption goes down as more and more money goes into investment rather than purchases. the smart people know most people won't be able to keep buying so they get out of stocks before those companies go down through reduced sales.
