I tried to tell someone he admitted this, they asked for proof, then they mocked the video and how it was recorded, wanted "better" sources, couldnt find a link to the original video but found a few media outlets that covered it, then they said it was out of context. They will always move the goalpost to avoid admitting they were duped.

They can not lie to you or do anything without your permission.  They can play ignorance, use double speak, and redirect narratives.  They have to trick you into getting your permission.  That way, they did nothing wrong, as it is the will of the people.
