February 2018 study by the Cato Institute using 2015 crime statistics from Texas found immigrants in the country illegally were 25 percent less likely to be convicted of homicide than native-born Americans. (Legal immigrants were 87 percent less likely.)

Arizona: About 240 illegal aliens were imprisoned for homicide-related offenses. In 2009 there were 3,484 total inmates incarcerated in Arizona state prisons for homicide and related offenses (first degree murder, second degree murder, murder (old code), manslaughter, and negligent homicide). Removing the estimated 240 illegal aliens from that total leaves us with 3,244 citizens and legal residents imprisoned for homicide-related offenses out of a total population of approximately 6.3 million residents.

Convictions aren't the same as the crime itself. If you kill someone in Texas as an illegal alien you're pretty likely to hop across the border & avoid conviction. There are also cultural factors like operating within a criminal underground making it easier to hide your tracks.

Have to agree. Back that up with solid and valid statistics and it's a lock. They must exist.

If you're an illegal immigrant you don't have the same rights as American citizens. That's just legally speaking, not my opinion.

If someone commits a crime against you, you are more willing to let it go unreported, because of the risk of being deported. Crimes that should be investigated never will, adding to the crime statistic. Criminals not being caught and keep commiting more crimes. As well as labeling yourself and your kind as easy targets for criminals.

You are also less probable to speak out, to use your voice, the freedom of expression which could add to society. Whether it is a political opinion or changes needed in your local community. And you're also at a greater risk of being deported and not being let back into the country again legally if attempted.

Do it legally, save a lot of money. And avoid being raped as 70%(a conservative estimate) of ALL WOMEN are raped by the criminals who take them across the border. That includes your children. Seriously think about that. That's what all the stories about kids being sent over alone filled with contraceptives is about. It's not a myth. It's too ugly for the news. Nobody wants to hear that. Dead children being picked up in the desert like roadkill. Nobody comes asking for those children. They're afraid that they'll be deported for it.

Why start a new life like that? What is life after something like that?

What is wrong about attempting to remove the possibility of such tragedies happening so often?

If you'll rather have drones than walls, consider that drones are getting smarter. People are attaching guns to those things. And they'll be effective. Many times more effective than humans are with guns.

Imagine that. And remember how fuzzy the line between "civilians" and "insurgents" became during the Obama's drone war. How easily people carrying cameras and medical equipment were mistaken for terrorists bearing arms.

And those drones were controlled by people. People under orders by the President. Many strikes were carried out on his authority. They looked bad enough for him. Collateral damage was acceptable, to him.

Imagine that authority, that power given to this President under the guise of terrorists or criminals coming across the border.

Do you want a wall, a physical barrier which may demotivate illegal immigration thus encouraging legal immigration, or drones that will get people killed before they even touch US soil, before they can even be called immigrants?

That's a fuzzy line.

You should seriously think about it.

You're right. ONLY 240 families (at least) losing loved ones. What are they complaining about. It's not like it's YOUR family. It's someone elses family. And that 240 is a lot less than the other number you cited therefore, screw those families.

Anything above 0 is an unacceptable amount of crime from people that shouldn't even be in the country.
