Yayo (Sanchez) is Hardly some random guy that David Grohl pulled out of the crowd. I assume he was wearing Gene Simmons' make up so that Dave could more easily pick him out of the crowd.
He's played with Slash, Billy Gibbons, and opened for Quiet Riot and LA Guns. He's also jammed with Scott Ian from Anthrax, Roger Daltrey from The Who, Paul Stanley from KISS, and Roger Taylor from Queen.
Bruce Kulik (former guitarist for KISS), took him under his wing and produced and played on several demos a few years back.
I first saw Yayo with 1 of his first bands, Rubber Monster about 10 or 11 years ago. He was fucking 15!!! He was a spoiled arrogant little shit back then. He's 25 now, and he has matured and mellowed quite a bit. I've run sound for many of his bands over the years at the bar I work at. He is a pretty badass guitar player and front man!
