Agreed - it took them more than a year to regroup and initiate their war. Pretty much everyone in his administration who would have advised against it has been deftly burned away. Under the current pressure his choice now is war or become humiliated as Nixon 2.0 in the near to far history books - of course his narcissism will not allow that (his goal was to be President not Ghandi). It's been fascinating watching them recover from the loss of what was thought to be a sure thing and squeeze relentlessly to get their war. Ninety per cent of the MSM is complicit in this - if this spins into a major proxy war there's no hiding or shrugging or pretending this time. I'm grateful for that at least.

Here Joe asks if President Trump is going to jail. Now we know the answer - unsurprisingly he's chosen to go to war instead of facing whatever humiliations, up to and including jail, he's been threatened with. He's now in front of America telling all of the "right lies" - the ones that bring lucrative war to the sociopathic wealthy and powerful.

Tomahawk missiles are almost $2 million each. I would think we will expend a hundred of them at minimum which will be replaced. Defense stocks will be going up Monday. Big money went down on Raytheon. Thanks bro! An extra vacation and a lot more from an attack that in my opinion wasn't backed up by solid evidence. Oh well.

I doubt this is just going to be just a few Tomahawk missiles. Based on his speech it sounded like much more than that.

A few hundred maybe? The last attack was 59 so I was thinking a hundred. $200-$300 million in Tomahawks alone would be great.

Depends on whether Russia was bluffing about retaliating against the launch sites. Putin didn't say that but some Ambassador of there's or some such did. If Russia fires back your stocks will cream their pants, briefly anyway.

Just like everything else, I'm waiting some time before forming my opinion of how much got used, but I'd assume Tomahawks were ship and submarine launched. I was shocked when there was a report of British Tornado jets being used. Why risk pilots? It could be bullshit though.

The USS McCain alone in 2004 under Bush launched 139 Tomahawk missiles at Afganistan. Used up the whole inventory and then met up the USS Cushing and took on their payload and launch all thier missles too. The Cushing was experiencing problems.

My point (there is one) we have been doing this for a long time. Wake up and take things into perspective.

Q1: Why did Trump do this one?

Q2: What is the target?

Q3: Is anyone else with us?

Q4: How long will it take?

Answer 1. Chemical attacks on people in Syria where there are supposed to be no chemical weapons.

Answer 2. Factory and known locations of the weapons (no cilivilan causulties)

Answer 3. UK and France

Answer 4. We are done. 2 days, full strikes. Done. The president has 60 days to act before appearing in Congress, long story short.. this isn't a war, yet.

Skeptoid, I'm here to dispel conspiracy theories.  Don't let me take you out of context..here is your quote:

"Ninety per cent of the MSM is complicit in this - if this spins into a major proxy war there's no hiding or shrugging or pretending this time. I'm grateful for that at least...Now we know the answer - unsurprisingly he's chosen to go to war instead of facing whatever humiliations, up to and including jail, he's been threatened with."

Question 1:  Can you name me one or two people of the "ninety per cent of the mainstream media" who is complicit in this?  You can choose two names, or more if you'd like.  I'd very much like to see who has that much power over the President of the United States of America.  I'd assume this would *NOT* include CNN since Trump has branded them as "fake news" and does not consume their content, but if there is one from there I'd like to see a true name that we can pin this upon. I'd also ask the follow up question of *HOW* exactly they are complicit.

Question 2:  Can you name me one or two people who have "threatened" Trump with jail time?  And over what specific charges?

I'm simply wanting to put names on the table because I notice that many conspiracy theories, especially "the Deep State", fall apart when you ask for specific information such as real people's names and actual quotes; very commonly it is some amorphous "them" and "they" and never anything solid.  Both you and I know that knowledge drives out ignorance...so certainly we should have some names attached to these people who have power rivaling that of the President of the United States of America.

Dude are you serious? What's all this conspiracy talk with regard to Syria Grothesk? Everything with regard to Syria has been done straight out in the open. Why do you feel the need to invoke men cackling and twirling moustaches around a large Illuminati table?

Name two of the 90%? Grothesk anyone who pushed the tinfoil left Trump Russiagate conspiracy, which includes 90% of the MSM, are among those most responsible for any large scale war initiated by the US into Syria. Some of them are just daft - stupid people with shallow opinions who read scripts. Most of them know the RussiaGate nonsense is just a means to an end, and also just read scripts. Whether they are ignorant or malevolent doesn't reall matter to me. It's all I've been harping on for years here - specifically about RussiaGate these past many months. I've posted Dore and Carlson explaining this to you over and over again for months. Btw, the people who enthusiastically parroted the MSM RussiaGate horseshit - also complicit.

Putting aside the idiocy of asking for "names and quotes" from the "Deep State" conspiracy, wars are lobbied for by the military industrial complex - a network of economic interests driven by a need for perpetual war. When a "retired general" appears on CNN advocating military strikes they are being paid by a defense contractor. I'll give you a completely unique example unrelated to war - John Boehner was one of the biggest opponents of legalized cannabis until he retired and was hired by a cannabis Acrage company to speak for them: His views on cannabis suddenly "evolved" to include now advocating it's legalization. I don't know precisely why you try to conceive of the same process we've witnessed occur half a dozen times since Vietnam as some sort of cartoon, but I suspect it's a coping mechanism. There's no hiding this time - if this goes to full scale war those responsible are clear and unambiguous. They won't be able to claim a simple "error in judgment" this time, like these guys did:

So far Russia hasn't retaliated - let's hope it stays that way.

You couldn't give me any names and you brought up how John Boehner changed his view on marijuana.

Again, remember that we're talking about the...and I'm going to emphasize this here, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, THE MOST POWERFUL POSITION IN THE WORLD.  You talked about people "threatening to jail" Trump.  Who?  Who has stated that?  Wouldn't that be a gigantic story for Jimmy Dore to comment upon?  Who is pressuring Trump into war?  Wouldn't Fox News or CNN bring that person or persons up in a story?  What about Styx?  Why are none of these people naming names?  Both you and I know why:  because then their story would fall apart.

And your own argument doesn't make sense:  Russiagate is a big old nothing burger and will easily be dismissed as bullshit, right?  But your own argument is stating that Trump is "forced" into a war because of it?  What?  The most politically powerful people in the United States government (meaning the Trump administration) do not believe the LIES of Russiagate...and yet it is powerful enough to force Trump into a wag the dog situation?

I gave you an offer to round out your points and offer specific names and you failed to do so.  You then linked me a video that I've literally *ONLY* seen linked by you and some other conspiracy theorists here on SpikedNation.  I'll repeat that:  I've ONLY seen that video linked by you and other notable right wingers here.  Now understand that I do agree with you that Trump's actions in regards to Syria is fucking bullshit...but you're not providing anything concrete and pointing your fingers at amorphous, vague entities that you literally cannot put names to.  Certainly you can see the reason for my questioning here.

Trump is being threatened with everything up to and including jail pretty much every evening on the nightly news. Even AFTER this Syria strike many outlets have put forth your theory about this being a distraction from Stormy Daniels, which involves accusations of violations of campaign finance laws which theoretically could include jail time. Dinesh D'Souza went to prison for it - I think Trump's probably too big at this point for that but everyone from Joe Rogan to MSM news pundits were musing about it in the lead up to this chemical attack and response. Why do you keep asking for names and invoking a cartoon? I'm talking about the real world here not the bizarre strawmen you create to cope with what you're watching unfold before your eyes.

Who is pressuring Trump to war? I thought you watched the leftwing MSM??? Tucker has had the same pundits on his FOX news show trying to patriot shame him into action in Syria and war footing with Russia. Grothesk just watch the news and read the newspaper - how many times have I given you examples over the past year. Frankly this is embarrassing - either you're trolling or this is pure cognitive dissonance. And you're confusing me with FullAuto - I don't necessarily believe RussiaGate will be dismissed because, as I've shown by posting a series of Dore videos pointing this out, they will use something like "obstruction" to threaten impeachment regardless of whether the original supposed crime they began investigating occured. This is about pressure - do you have any idea how many billions of war dollars rode on a Clinton Presidency, and what a spectacular upset Trump's victory was to those interests? It takes time to recover from that - I had hoped it would take at least two years but here we are. Why do you think the people in Trump's administration who were so opposed to interfering in other countries were the ones who were most demonized before being discarded by his administration?

The most politically powerful people in the United States government are way, way, way down the pole in the hierarchy of most powerful people in the world, let alone the United States. Obviously. You can't be so naive - I wish we lived in the 1950s sometimes too but that's the past Grothesk. You just watched for the first time in many, many decades the media literally browbeat a Presidential administration into a more threatening stance with Russia at the strategic level and attacks on Syria at the tactical level. How does that differ from everything we've seen before? If anything this shows just how effective the MIC and other sociopathic influences are at recovering from defeat, neutralizing an administration, and methodically putting the newly converted executive back on track. It's no conspiracy this time - it's been done almost completely transparently (which is a very bad sign). I feel sad for anyone still delustional enough to deny it.

BTW, when you say "They don't consult with the people anyway" you're just proving my fucking point. These questions are supposed to go to congress. 9/11 gave Bush license to circumvent that, Obama's skin colour gave him a pass, and this time it's the gassed children. Why don't you expand on "They don't consult with us anyways so who cares"?

"I gave you the chance to name names...."

LOL Are you drunk? There's no "conspiracy of a few diabolical men" Grothesk. You really don't know how to process this do you? This is part of a process that we've seen repeatedly, only with the twist that it occured against the significant resistance of the "most powerful force in the government". LOL What a joke. The Executive branch has simply been rendered more capable of unilateral military action FREE FROM THE SCRUTINY that would officially reveal that there's no justification for it. The Executive has been a tool of the MIC for decades now - it just took them some time to figure out how to get their claws in this time since he obviously was NOT their choice. You watched it happen on TV and yet you deny your own eyes. Pressure on Trump will continue to ensure this is not a limited "one-off". The red line has been drawn by Hailey in the UN again - it will be crossed and then there will be war.

And the video I posted above? Are you seriously trying "some right wingers showed me that" FUCKING BULLSHIT GROTHESK?

ARE YOU SUGGESTING THAT VIDEO IS THE RESULT OF A CONSPIRACY BY RUSSIA TO MAKE THE WHITE HELMETS LOOK LIKE THEY'RE NOT A PROPAGANDA OUTFIT FUNDED BY THE UK AND STAFFED LARGELY BY MURDEROUS RELIGIOUS NUTCASES OR THEIR SYMPATHIZERS. THE GROUP THAT ISSUED AN OFFICIAL APOLOGY FOR THE VIDEO ABOVE THAT YOU COULD CONFIRM IN FIVE SECONDS WITH A GOOGLE SEARCH. THE FUCKING MANNEQUIN CHALLENGE. IT WAS JUST THE MANNEQUIN CHALLENGE THEY WERE DOING GROTHESK JUST HAVING SOME FUN, JUST ENGAGED IN THE CELEBRATION OF A MEME WHILE SHOWCASING HOW CONVINCINGLY THEY CAN FAKE ATTACKS ON CIVILIANS AND CIVLIAN INJURIES. NO BIG DEAL. NOT A CONSPIRACY GROTHESK - JUST WHAT HAPPENED. I WAS REMINDED OF THE VIDEO BY THAT RIGHT WING NUT JIMMY DORE.

When you don't give me actual peoples' names then we may as well refer to them as "Chucky the Possessed Killer Doll" and "The Boogeyman".  You're the one making assertions here and you're the one who cannot back them up with the most fundamental information such as a person's name.  No, it's just "they" and "them" and "the Deep State".  Here's what's most comical:  I'm acting like a journalist while you're madly pointing your fingers.  Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How...those are basic questions that a journalist should ask.  So I'm asking you...WHO?!

I'm getting sick of seeing misinformation here and I'm making a point of dispelling it.  It seems very easy to do as all I have to do is just ask you a simple and basic question that you can't answer.
