Possible Consequences of US / Iran Conflict - Scott Ritter, Ex-UN Weapons Inspector

Scott Ritter is a retired US Marine Intelligence Officer, former UN weapons inspector & the most significant voice in the Bush administration debunking the Iraq WMD lies prior to the US invasion of Iraq.

Video was recorded 2 days ago, so far he is correct. Soleimani has become a historic martyr with the largest funeral in the history of the world, Iran is united & Iraq now stands with them, even moreso now that Trump is threatening sanctions on Iraq over the troop withdrawal request.

The only thing standing in the way of a war that would kill untold people & cripple the world economy is the patience of the Persian people. Let's hope it holds.

This Twitter thread counters the idea that oil is a factor:

It says it's more about salty neocon warhawks surrounding Trump that are pushing him into war with Iran. They hate that Iran capitalised on the American invasion of Iraq. There doesn't seem to be a strategy from US that has anything to do with national interests.

Bomb them back to the Stone Age if they so much as twitch towards a revenge move. Hope they don't bomb the Shah Chirag mosque though. Beautiful.
