You can mark me down for this comment check up in 1 - 2 years. I don't care much for Bannon, but Trump has been talking about this since the 90's and as each decade carried forward it has only worsened the trade deal for our side.

Yeah it might sting a little in the present, but securing the future to be profitable is better. Now to tackle their interlectual property theft problem. If we didn't make shit there, they would have a harder time stealing it, looking at you APPLE.

what makes you think this is happening?
at best some jobs will move from China to other nearby countries like Vietnam but that comes at a cost, just like the tarrifs. I'll let you in on a secret: nobody is stealing your technology.
FYI Apple contracts to Foxconn, a Taiwanese company, who in turn maufactures a lot of stuff in mainland China for access to relatively cheap skilled labour. The "cheap skilled labour" part is the key to the equation. Move the jobs back to the US, watch the Apple shares plummet & iPhones cost 50% more when they're already trailing in tech.
