you're thinking economic collapse happens over night, it took 2 years after the chechen war, there were indications of a collapse two years prior to the great depression. every few weeks, russia's got to scrabble to come up with foreign currency to make a billion dollar payment on its foreign debt or risk defaulting, russia's stock still banning foreigners from selling, no short selling allowed, shorter trading hours. even with those measure, its still slipping. russia's lost contracts, they haven't replaced them, its lost companies, it hasn't replaced them. think of everything they've lost and how they haven't and won't be able replaced them. remember the sanctions aren't going to go anywhere and just by association, other countries economies are in danger, ie. belarus. russia wants to get paid it rubles, fine, the contract they signed and can't be change by one party says different, anerican, canada, nigeria and a few others are upping their production of gas and oil, germany says they can get off russia's tit by the end of the year. and again. those sanctions aren't going anywhere. now, you might wake up tomorow and be like. "russian economy hasn't collapsed" but its collapsing. this isn't ideology, this is fact
