Captain Picard was the best Star Trek captain. Patrick Stewart is most certainly not Star Trek.

You and I both know that no single person can embody this particular vision of God's Kingdom in Heaven realized on Earth that was created by Gene Roddenberry.

But you and I also both know that if such a constraint were imposed and we had to choose a captain of the Enterprise to represent the vision that is Star Trek it would be William Shatner.

To deny this is futile. Go ahead and try.

don't talk about gene like that. its blasphemy

we wouldn't be choosing a captain, you'de be out the airlock. picard is the man. he's the only reason for the first contact. if it wasn't for him, you wouldnt have an enterprise

Anyone truly familiar with Star Trek would know that in the movie Star Trek Generations Captain Kirk leaves not Gene Rodenberry's vision of the Kingdom to give his life, as our Lord and Savior did, to save Picard as well as the entire crew of the Enterprise (again), allowing Picard to subsequently prevent the Borg from interfering with first contact. I told you not to try this - it's like me trying to school you on Marvel and DC comics.

picard was always destined to go back in time. soran's probe wouldnt have worked. if soran pointed his phaser at picard and pulled the trigger. it wouldnt have worked. this is a fact because for them to even be in that situation, is dependent on picard going back in time to secure first contact

You are making this error, but you are aware of it which is why you insert the "picard was always destined" phrase in there. Telling. The invocation of predetermined destiny reveals that the commenter secretely believes in the Creator and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

no error being made. geordie grew up reading about the first contact to later find out that he'd be talking to the guy and telling him about the statue of him. to then go back to his normal time. nothing in time was changed because it always happened that way. if anything i believe in the creator and our lord and savior captain picard. even after death he's still keeping the galaxy safe

No you miss the point - the Borg and Picard both had the same mistaken notion about time travel, although it's possible only Picard was mistaken. The Borg Queen may have been so obsessed with experiencing a universe where she gets to assimilate humanity that she was willing to go back in time, create a branch reality where she makes that happen, and exist in that reality from that point forward. Picard thought her actions would affect his reality, mistakenly, and so he followed her back in time to stop her but only really succeeded in preventing her from enjoying a branch reality that was to her particular liking. He lost many crew members just to achieve this result. If he had stayed in his own time, nothing would have changed - Data also has to take some of the blame. He misperceived the image of an assimilated Earth as being representative of his source reality and confused Picard into following the Queen back. This is because, as an artificial construct struggling to become more human, Data has difficulty processing the truth that our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has a lock on this particular reality (our own - the one TNG is set in) to establish and protect the Kingdom. Create all the substandard branch realities you want in the multiverse and go nuts - in this universe it's the Kingdom or bust.

Picard made a terrible mistake - got so many people killed for nothing, but he's not alone among Star Trek captains. Kirk himself made a similar mistake as documented here, and he learned from his mistake through repentence.

picard and crew didn't repair the timeline, they're part of it. its also not in a different universe because none of them got that molecules wanting to return to their time sickness yor or georgiou got. temporal agents never stepped in which they normally do with alteration to the timeline. so it was always meant to happen
