I blame Trump. He passed recent legislation that cut funding to construction companies in the US forcing them to seek cheaper methods and alternatives to complete projects. What's more ? He redirected the funding to military operations conducted in Syria.

I do remember when cuck and fuck boy were popular and they might come back into the rotation, you never know. Other options are beta/omega male, orbiter, kissless virgin, male feminist. Soy Boy works well because there's nothing inherently vulger with the words Soy or Boy yet the "men" to whom it refers hate having reality pointed out to them.

What an IDIOTIC idea to tension the bars whilst traffic is flowing.
I guess there was a lot of pressure on to do this on schedule as the media was invited so NON engineer clients and bosses pressured engineers into agreeing to change the load distribution last minute within very little time, maybe leaving out the plates was a simple oversight due to the rush or also bodged.
Been there, seen it, investigated it, thankfully no harm to people was caused. This was on a 1.5kV (DC) Railway project and potentially could have been fatal.
