Religion of Peace - The Lies of Christian Zionism

Pastor John Hagee on Israel & Iran

Pastor Hagee is a famous Christian pastor in Texas. This video shows some of the dangerous lies he tells his 'flock'...

0:38 - "Iran has sword that they're going to develop nuclear weapons"

- Iran has never developed or declared intention to develop nuclear weapons

0:42 - "Iran has also sworn that they're going to use those weapons to wipe Israel off the map"

- Iran has never expressed intention to attack Israel or do any kind of wiping of maps

0:54 - "The spiritual leader of Iran said it was time for the Jews to die"

- Yeah, right.

Separation of church & state?...

Yea, Evangelical's obsession with Israel is pretty goofy.  That's pretty clear to anyone who isn't an evangelical and listens to them talk about Israel.  FYI, I am not an evangelical.  I once called into a local radio program where the guest was basically saying what Hagee says and asked him the following.

Do you believe only accepting Jesus Christ as Lord is the only way to enter Heaven?  He said, emphatically, YES!

Then by your own logic, all the Jewish people you support will be burning in the fires of hell, I said.

Of course he proceeded to cook up some bullshit excuse that some how, some way EVERY Jewish person would wake up when the time comes and just up and convert to Christianity.  Of course that didn't explain all the Jews who died Jewish and, according to him, are now burning in the pits of hell.

They didn't like me asking those questions and moved on to the next caller.  It was fun while it lasted.

You give them a pass by calling it "pretty goofy"

This guy is preaching to his followers to support an aggressive war against Iran (a class A war crime, last I checked), that would leave thousands, if not millions dead.

He's not some marginal freak, he has millions of followers & wields a lot of political power in Washington.

He's not being goofy either, this is a carefuly constructed political message.

Show me an Iranian Imam who supports a war of aggression.

Give them a pass?  What the fuck do you want me to do about it?

I call it goofy because I read the entire "Left Behind" series when I was 18-20 and still a beliver and trust me, how Evangelicals think the world will end is pretty fucking goofy.

This guy is preaching to his followers to support an aggressive war against Iran (a class A war crime, last I checked), that would leave thousands, if not millions dead.

Do you really think Benjamin Netanyahu is taking military advice from John-fucking-Hagee?  Give me a break.

Whatever Israel is doing with regard to Iran is based on Israeli intelligence spying on Iran; not what some overweight Bible thumper in Texas is telling his church.  Stop freaking out about millions dead.  The only way that happens is if Iran manages to ever build a nuclear weapon and, being run by the death cult of Islam, deploys it against Israel.  Ever heard of the Samson Option?  Such an attack could understandably trigger it.

BTW, spare me your talk about "war crimes".  All that "international law" shit doesn't amount to a fucking hill of beans and you know it.  Intentionally killing civilians is a "war crime" yet when Hamas fires rockets with the EXPRESS INTENT of killing Jewish civilians all the Jew haters on here suddenly become mute on "war crimes".  It's only when Israel strikes back and Hamas use human shields do you suddenly give two flying shits about "war crimes"

He's not some marginal freak, he has millions of followers & wields a lot of political power in Washington.

A lot of power in Washington my freckled ass.  Maybe some politicians from Texas kiss his ass in order to get the votes of his members but nobody in Washington gives a fuck what John Hagee wants.

He's not being goofy either, this is a carefully constructed political message.

I'm sure it is a political message.  You know who else constructs political messages?  HOLLYWOOD, GOOGLE, FACEBOOK, TWITTER, EVERY CABLE NEWS NETWORK, EVERY BROADCAST NEWS NETWORK.  So what?

Show me an Iranian Imam who supports a war of aggression.

I don't need to and I don't care.  But just because you asked -> https://www.timesofisrael.com/khamenei-israel-a-cancerous-tumor-that-must-be-eradicated/

That Khomenei Twitter post isn't calling for war. He doesn't even speak English but his original quote according to CNN was:

Iran's stance has always been clear on this ugly phenomenon (Israel). We have repeatedly said that this cancerous tumor of a state should be removed from the region… No one will allow a bunch of thugs, lechers and outcasts from London, America and Moscow to rule over the Palestinians.

It's a quote from 2000 when he was speaking in support of Palestinians in their intifada which had violence on both sides as Palestinians tried to break free from the Zionist occupation.

What the fuck do you want me to do about it?

Nothing except recognize your double-standards. Here you have a pastor with millions of followers urging them to support a war of aggression that would light the entire region on fire & bring the deaths of thousands of Americans.

How is thata different to the Salafi Imams who preach death to kafirs?

It's only when Israel strikes back and Hamas use human shields do you suddenly give two flying shits about "war crimes"

If Hamas had representation at the U.N. I'd call them on war crimes.

OK, here are some more Khomenie quotes for you to dodge with mental gymnastics.

[There is only one possible solution to unrest in the Middle East], "namely the annihilation and destruction of the Zionist state."

  • December 31, 1999 speech on Qods Day, as quoted in "Iranian leader urges destruction of Israel", The Spokesman-Review (January 1, 2000)

It is the mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to erase Israel from the map of the region.

Israel Is A Hideous Entity In the Middle East Which Will Undoubtedly Be Annihilated. - Twitter 2010

How is thata different to the Salafi Imams who preach death to kafirs?

What's the difference, well if it's not obvious allow me to spell it out.  John Hagee isn't calling volunteers to travel to Iran for the sole purpose of murdering it's citizens or blowing themselves up or flying jet airliners into Iran's buildings.  There is a moutain of evil shit that John Hagee ISN'T doing that sets him apart from the preachers of Islam.

All that aside, the video you posted is from 2012.  Hagee is talking about some rumored attack from Israel.  It's 2019, I guess Israel is running a little late.

You have to provide actual quotes, sourced. Not unsourced headlines from Wikipedia or PDFs with mistraslations.

The Nasrallah quote in the PDF is wrong. I've looked into it before & it's been discredited. It takes "and there the final and decisive battle will take place" and turns it into "kill them", source.

If you want to pick 1 or 2 specific quotes I'll run them through my own fact-check.

It should be quite easy because of the structure of an Islamic republic - the president is usually an imam but also the deputy commander-in-chief of the armed forces.... bellecose rhetoric from military commanders is not what I was getting at so I kinda screwed myself on this. You still gotta prove it though.

John Hagee isn't calling volunteers to travel to Iran for the sole purpose of murdering it's citizens or blowing themselves up or flying jet airliners into Iran's buildings.

You realise Iran had nothing to do with 9/11, right?

You're conflating Iran with the Salafi jihadi stuff - this stuff is their enemy.

And Israel's supported these Salafis from the start until today. Israel was involved in spreading that shit into Afghanistan in the '80s - something that led to the Taliban & 9/11 - and has most recently been giving every kind of support to them in Syria.

Hagee is going beyond calling Iran a cancerous tumor that will be cut out, he's lying his ass off & calling for political action from his followers to support a war of aggression. He's directly asking them to speak out for Israel's "right to defend itself" (code for bombing Iran in an unprovoked attack).

You might think this isn't important because it's not asking people to go & fight directly but consider this

  • Some of his followers are potentially going to be involved in the military
  • He has millions of followers & a large consideration for the US support for war is the opinion of their constituants. If enough people are okay with it, America will be in a political position to give Israel the green light to bomb Iran. This is the most dangerous part IMO.

the video you posted is from 2012

Israel's been lobbying for an attack on Iran ever since they got the US into Iraq in 2003. They got pretty close at the end of Bush's term.

That is textually deficient.

You cannot find the manuscript from the bible that says that.

In the texts, the jews were in fact responsible for crucifying christ, The Pharisee's using their influence to turn the mobs and the roman juristiction against him to be exact. The charge was the religious crime of blasphemy according to the jewish laws of the time.

The pharisee's wanted him dead because he called them out on their hypocrisy and abuses of their positions within the church. But they couldn't kill him themselves, because the people loved him and they feared the masses would become violent. However, the people already hated rome and could do nothing about their occupation, so they had the roman governor write the execution order after convincing him and the masses that he broke a religious law that required capital punishment in ancient jewish laws.

But it doesn't say anywhere that god turned his back on them for it.
