I did an ice assessment at Panama Flats, Saanich (Victoria), BC. There were some people skating on parts of the Flats today, but the ice didn't like it when I stood on it, but Isaac dog did fine. If you do go for a skate there I recommend safety gear, like knee pads & a helmet. Remember your social distancing as well! The water isn't very deep, so safer than a lake with the same amount of ice, but it is possible for your skates to hit thin ice or bad ice & you'll take a tumble. Otherwise, have fun!
