Almost 40 years a go I was in hospital in Germany because I had an operation on a torn ligament, my roommate was prepped by a male trainee nurse for his operation,which involved shaving his nether region. So they gave the trainee a straight razor, soap and brush to do the job. Poor guy was trembling and my roommate got all white and sort of jumped out of bed. Then the other nurses entered the room, all hosing themselves. I almost fell out of bed laughing, fortunately the nurse and my roommate took the joke very well. In the end the nurse shaved him with a normal razor.
