Sex (consentual) for reproduction is appropriate from the first period regardless of age gap.

Your comparison is invalid. "Murder" is not natural, generally animals do not kill each other for pleasure or gain but rather in order to feed. Territorial or dominance related fights usually do not end in the death of one of the competitors.

Dominance disputes are, indeed, generally harmless and are regarded more as "play", rather than actually agression. Social animals are constantly pinging each other to reasses heiarchy. Across different species however, territoral disputes can be very deadly.
