i don't think he's asking for the black liberal vote, its more of reminder to the white conservative voters. south carolina is a pretty conservative place. they haven't had a democrate senator since the 60's. the last presidential election that had the majority of the state voting for a democrate was in the 70's. right now. the guy running against lindsey has raised alot more money and is currently leading in the polls.
