Death rate does not equate to infection rate. This is fucking retarded.
A disease that has a lower death rate but a much higher infection rate can still kill way more people.

I understand all of that, and so does JP. I think maybe what bothers you is that we aren't afraid of this just because it's highly infectious. If more people are infected, more will die - yes we understand that.
The masks should come off and all businesses should return to normal operation - NOW. Those who feel ascared should be encouraged to take whatever measures they feel are necessary, such as staying home and leaving the rest of us to live and die. Those who fit a demographic with a higher death rate should take measures, if they so choose.
I think you're starting to get it - I've been watching you scratch your head on a variety of topics related to this issue for some time. Again, 5 more 9/11s would have been just dandy with me to stay free. Even after the virus is erradicated I don't think the authorities are going to let us get back to normal.
People are changing because of this. Turning on each other. Trusting each other less. It's fucking with our entire social structure.
Small businesses are getting wiped out. Artists can't profit because exhibitions can't be held to show their work.
Yet who is doing just fine? Big business.
It's like a new barrier to stop the poor from climbing up. Not saying it's the purpose of this. But it is a noticeable effect.
