let me guess, no sanctions, no action whatsoever? the israeli government is our friend and are the bastions of democracy in the middle east so we should all have allowed them access to our phones in the first place anyway?

Whatsapp is owned by Mark Zuckerberg, fuck it.
Also, Israel did not hack anything. Someone, somewhere was using software made by a Israeli company that sells spying tools to Government and Law Enforcment. Turn off the ovens, it wasn't "the Jews" spying on this guy.

You don't know that, neither does anybody else (although it is more probable they did than any other country or organisation considering the origin of the software). Hence (in contrary to the yt poster) I put a questionmark behind the title.
The only thing we know to date is that an israeli company made the software used in the hack.
