Seriously though, what a terrifying thing to realize the instant before you die and take hundreds with you. These guys may not have even had time for that, and may have died thinking they saved the plane based on the doc clip below.

vids were too long so i read the wikipedia page. i don't get how the pilot thought letting his kids move the flight stick during flight was a good idea, which eventually disabled part of the autopilot. it does sound like the plane model was relatively new to both pilots. 1000 hours for captain and 500 for copilot. or maybe it's just "russia" and it was the 90's.
