Very interesting video! And yes, on a variety of levels. I love that in this situation the cop is black and the perps are white. And his having a panic attack,  well that goes a long way towards showing people what a high-stress-adrenaline-fueled job this can be. You're trying to keep the peace. Menwhile you've got a loaded gun in your hand. You and your fellow responders are under imminent threat. Oh, AND you're trying to keep calm while your brain is swimming in a soup made of battery acid. The EMT acts like he may have prior combat training, maybe as a field medic, and handled it great.  Nothing but respect for these guys.

Don't like jumping to conclusions, but ..... this is something you see from people who been in war.

Then again he might have a panic disorder? ... just conjecture. It's certainly a display of the human condition!

Dude, its an adrenaline dump and the shock that follows. See it all the time with cops AFTER they have to fire on someone or because their lives are in danger. Most people never have to experience its full effects. Some can naturally handle it, some are trained to handle it, others break down. If this is his first time being threatened like this and has never experienced it then it can be overwhelming. PTSD or shell shock from war veterans could be at play but if anything I would agree with Bob, the emt probably has experience in a war theatre. Most cops have nice cushy jobs in small towns where they are never threatened, the most threatened they get is when they right someone a ticket and they complain. THat is til they run into Jimbob in the woods living in a shit shack trailer firing his gun at trespassers! LOL

No.... This guy is beyond functioning before even discharging his gun into nothingness. This isn't normal decompression at all. "Adrenaline-dump" or decompressing happens A LOT later for functioning people.

This is what you see in battle when the mind can't cope... same disorientation, everything is dangerous and you freeze up or worse... like this guy. Doesn't make him weak, just human.

Bet you 50$ he was discharged from service years ago and landed a job as a cop!

Wait a min, HE FIRED THE shots???

Holy shit, I thought he was fired on and got freaked out. Ok, yeah PTSD sounds like a fit here.

Wow, look at this shit, they are blaming the girl and her boyfriend for causing this nutjob to lose his shit and say it was a cardiac event, wtf. Brian Keith Mullinax, 41, and his girlfriend, Tina Carrie Jo Cody, 37, spent 42 days in jail on felony charges, accused of causing what was described in court statements as a "panic attack" and which a detective called "some type of cardiac event."

I thought the girl ran into the feild and it was some random nutjob firing on the cop and emt's.

I know right, scary as fuck and I take my previous speculation back, along with my sympathy.  This guy is the worst! A loony, dishonest pussy!

Didn't disclose he got fired from his previous job for misconduct including fanning his gun over an officer’s head and lying to his chief before getting the job @ Newport Police Department. And gods only know what other bullshit.... subsequently forced to retire.

"A Sevier County jury has acquitted a man in the state's first-ever assault by panic attack case." ...That sentence makes me giggly.

The guy in the trailer park got acquitted in the end.... what a farse

YARN | I was on the wrong side of the pitchfork on this one. | Rick and Morty (2013) - S02E04 | Video clips by quotes | ea96a91c | 紗

Sheeit. Looks like we were on the wrong side of the pitchfork on this one. Kudos to the EMT for taking control of the situation, but it's possible he was a bit premature in giving the gun back to the officer.

Yeah I wouldnt want a lunitic with a gun using me as cover. If you've never experienced that adrenaline rush from the "fight or flight" it can scare the crap out of ya. In warzone coming under fire people like this dont move, they cant. THink about WW1 where they charge over the trenches under artillary fire running into machine guns and some just cant move. Also, lot of stress people feel is this "fight or flight" mechanism, in the back of your mind you are worried about money issues, losing your job, thinking you're on the wrong track, whatever it is, and your brain releasing a bit of adrenaline and our natural instincts say DANGER! but there is no immediate threat making you fight or run away so your body just eats it up and you feel it as stress. Day after day of this shit can reak havoc on your body.

Haha, classic. Or how bout 'The Dirty Dozen' with a rogues gallery that includes murderers and rapists, recruited for a suicide mission behind enemy lines?

Man that brought back some memories(the dirty dozen). I remember watching this on my first laptop (small screen, shitty speakers) and on low quality, probably around 06 or 07. Just watched it again on my big screen with surround sound system, ha. Fun movie.

Glad you liked it (again). Yeah, with all the poor quality woke garbage out of Hollywood lately, I also find myself casting classics like these onto my tv some nights. Remember that they're the classics because they're the best.
