Black Bear on Botanical Beach BC

There was a low .32 metre (1.5 ') tide at Botanical Beach, near Port Renfrew, Vancouver Island, BC, on June 16, 2018, at 9:41 (PST). Hundreds of people came out to see how the beach looked with the water so far out. A black bear wandered along the rocky beach towards the water.  I made sure I didn't get too close to the bear. This is a good idea, not just for personal safety, but for the bear's sake as well. If you harass the bear by getting too close and the bear hurts you, the bear will likely be put down, so please remember to give them plenty of space.
