Tourism in the United States (lol-United my ass). is approximately a 2 trillion dollar a year industry. Not to mention that trade relations usually sour when it's citizens are massacred (foreign and domestic). All leaders have an incumbant duty to superficially present an image of care towards their own citizens.
Look at China and Canada right now. And that's a way less severe situation regarding trade/citizen relations, affecting foreign policy
But as a professional business magnate, I'm sure the boss knows about this potential existential...sorry I mean potential financial crisis.
