In order to weaken Assad, this Washington 'think tank' genius is proposing to:
- Block World Bank reconstruction loans (about USD 500 billion is needed to rebuild Syria)
- Buy more palatable opposition groups
'Think tank' is a funny term for these people. They basically come up with propaganda to disguise belligerent foreign policy.
The policy is to weaken Iran/Syria/Hezbollah. This axis is not under Washington's thumb.
