Turkey must have become jealous of Israel having this glorious title. The Turkish military is now supporting Islamist militants with airstrikes from drones, causing heavy losses in recent days.
Turkey also supports HTS/TIP & other al Qaeda affiliates with Turkish ground troops, heavy assets (tanks, APCs, artillery), training, funding & arms of all kinds.
It was the MIT (Turkish version of the CIA) who did a lot of the logistical heavy lifting for al Qaeda during this entire "civil war". Don't think for a second that the US wasn't in on this treachery. The jiihadi mercenaries train in Turkey before being sent across the border. It's been going on since at least 2012. They killed an Iranian journalist for exposing it years ago (they were using UNRWA trucks to do it). Now that Syria is on the verge of winning the Turks are showing their hand. They're also threatening Europe with refugees to keep the gambit going & avoid scrutiny. NATO is still backing Turkey's efforts with the usual deceit. [link]
