He made a dumb joke, poking fun at his own reputation for political correctness.

Talk about doing something real. Well he lowered the taxes of the middle class, reintruduced the long form census so we can know who and where we were are as a people, extended leave time for people caring for sick relatives and removed regulation barring government scientists from speaking to the media.  So yeah, I get why the right doesn't dig him.  And I hate all his virtue signalling bullshit and insufferable way of speaking, but if you're professional comedian and you hear someone say something that so stupid it sounds like a joke, then do 45 seconds of research befor you attack the guy.  Reminds me of Dave Chappelle's 90% comedian, 10% black guy joke because it was more offensive comedically than anything else.

The only joke is the spineless neoliberal douchebag running the Canadian government.

It takes zero seconds if you get the joke and don't need someone to explain it to you.

A Neoliberal?  So in favor of privitization, free trade, a dimished role for government in favor of industry self regulation?  Wow, I see why I should hate the guy, but what are you so angry about?  Or do you think appending 'Neo' to something automatically puts it in the pejorative and makes you sound more current and politically savy?  Why not just call him a liberal fuckwit?  It's confusing because the Provincial government in BC actually does have a right wing business oriented neoliberal party called the LIberals.

And Israel?  The only criticism I see of his stance towards Israel is that it's identical to Prime Minister Harpers.  Which was unchanged since PM Martin.  Geez, Jean Chretiens' wiki contains neither the words Israel (except for an honary degree) nor Palestine.  I'm willing to go down this rabbit hole all the way to Diefenbaker if you care to, but it seems pretty peripheral to why people don't like him.  Might be more your thing which is fine.  Lots of people are single issue voters.  It's just that most people would be more likely to have an opinion, well formed or not, on his allowing all the Syrian refugee's in and granting them access to medical care.  I don't care which side you're on on that, it just seems more topical.

edit.  you edited your comment.  now mine makes no sense.
