In Defense of Columbus: An Exaggerated Evil

Columbus is a controversial historical figure who is widely viewed as terrible. Every year we question whether we should continue to have a day to celebrate his discovery. But as with most stories, his bad deeds have been exaggerated to make him fit the role of a villain.

This shouldn't be voted down.  This was an informative and well made video.  4/5.

The only gripe I have is that views native people at the 11:45 mark as though they were created, or sprang forth from, South America.  He uses the phrase "starting location"...and that's not a proper term for people who inhabited South America from anywhere as long as 50,000 years ago to as recent as 9000 years ago.

Wait, what is this?  Grothesk responded by not being snarky and throwing out leftist talking points.

What's with the down-vote bro?  I upvoted your comment.  I was legit surprised that you didn't drop a wall of text on me about how Columbus was literally Hitler and I'm just being a genocide apologist.

I haven't voted upon a comment on SpikedNation.com in months and the last time I did it was to show someone that I didn't vote on their comment.  So rest assured I didn't vote upon your comment because comment votes mean nothing to me.  However, to make you feel better, I voted it up for you to help your ego so now it should be at -1 instead of -2.  Do you feel better?

I'm waiting for the day that you post a comment that doesn't include the word "left".

That level of obsession isn't healthy.

You're going to be waiting for a long god damn time then.  Calling a spade a spade is not an "obsession", it's just a statement of fact.  And why do I use the word "left"?  Well that's easy.  Left is easier to type than Neo-Marxist.  Would you rather me use that word instead?
