Mercedes Benz "Runs Over" NYPD Officer (NYC, Times Square)

Too many people around to go shootout but I have no problem with the driver being shot and killed. Hundreds of lives were endangered.

An NYPD officer was nearly run down by an accelerating car as the driver fled during a traffic stop in the middle of Times Square late Saturday night, police said.

The car, which appeared to be modified for drag racing, was driving recklessly on West 42nd Street when the officer tried to pull it over near the famous NYPD booth shortly before midnight, the NYPD said.

Dramatic video posted online appears to show the officer standing in front of the car near 43rd Street and Broadway in an attempt to stop it when the vehicle suddenly skids off.

In the video, the driver accelerates and the officer is knocked to the ground as the vehicle drives away. He and several other officers chase the car through the streets with their guns drawn, but the car manages to escape through heavy traffic down 42nd Street.

The officer who was hit can be seen dropping to his knees on 42nd Street as the vehicle gets away.

“That’s big time crazy. People are getting crazy, you know,” said Freddie Kim, who operates an outdoor souvenir stand in Times Square. Kim said he saw the smoke emanating from the vehicle as it burned rubber while getting away.

How in the world did they get him to speak on this subject?  How does that guy have time for something so beneath him?

Why do you want the driver to be shot & killed?

Because he endangered hundreds of people's lives and could have killed many people because he wanted to have fun. Fuck him. He should be dead. He didn't give a shit about other people's lives, so he should forfeit his.

Hilarious comment from the idiot who filmed the incident. He says it was all the fault of the police and "Dat driver be living large yo! He made it out of Times Square by doing some crazy-ass drifting … It was just mind-blowing. That’s some crazy driving skills.”  Fuckboy has watched too many Fast and Furious movies. People really die in real life.

I think we need to all hold off judgement until the skin color of the driver is known that way the media can tell us what to think.  I mean, was he a good boy who did-du-nuff'n and was running from the white racist cops or was he a red-neck racist looking for minorities to run down before being stopped by the heroic NYPD.  These things are important people, we need all the facts.

Funny, there is already a narrative being pushed in favor of the crazy driver that he was afraid because the cop had his gun out and he panicked (it is being assumed by them that he was black and feared police shooting him if he stopped and put his hands up). The fact that he then crashed into dozens of cars and is now hiding from police is a little tricky in his defense, so it's just being ignored.

Ah, so the "he a good boy who did-du-nuff'n wrong" narrative it is.

They caught the shitbums. The narrative is really ramping up and it's that they were afraid of being killed by the cop because they are "People of color"... . . .. .. ......................The fact that they were committing a felony isn't even being mentioned. Arfhy (yes, Arfhy) Santos and William Lopez both have extensive criminal records but are being somehow held as victims.
